Pretty Soon, They Start to Count

The Red Sox and A’s will soon square off in the Far East to kick off the regular season. The rest of the teams get their start in a week or so and then we’ll be off.

I’m a baseball fan, but I don’t think I’m enough of one to stay up until the wee hours to watch tonight’s game. Looks like this one’s going on DVD for viewing tomorrow.

Voros, I noted on my blog that you can start free agency like the NHL does: service time (7yrs) or age (27), whichever comes first. (Otherwise, the European players, who come here later, get killed.)

No reason MLB can’t do the same. Make it age 28 maybe.
