Since fall of last year I’ve been doing statistical analysis on football for a private company and that has restricted my ability to post here.
I’ve also started to write about soccer and baseball for ESPN Insider, the first article of which was published last Friday.
However that doesn’t necessarily spell the end of things here. The first qualification matches for 2014 are scheduled to begin in Asia at the end of June. My hope is that I’ll be able to figure out a way to continue to update qualification chances, this time from the very start of the get go. This could happen here or elsewhere depending on how I do that. One way or the other, something will be decided by the end of May or the start if June and I’ll make sure to provide news on what will happen going forward.
I appreciate the folks who followed this last time around, and I hope I’ll be able to continue to do so this time around. Stay tuned.

Hi Voros,
I’m looking forward to your update!
But beware- the world-cup qualification will start even earlier, than first thought:
In Concacaf the first matches will be on 3. June 2011.
It will be a very interesting constellation:
While the big-guys of the “Concacaf-continent” like USA vs. Canada or Guadeloupe vs. Panama start into Gold-Cup 5. June 2011, the minnows of the continent will meet for derbies like Br.-Virgin vs. US-Virgin or Turks&Caicos vs. Bahamas to start the world-wide campaign for 2014_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification

Hi Voros,
In contrast to last publishment and still to be seen on http://www.livescore.com
the first qualifying-game will not be on 3.June 2011 but on 5.June 2011 St.Lucia vs. Aruba
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_FIFA_World_Cup_qualification
What an exotic begin for the world-wide-qualifying-campaign!
Greetings,
Stevan
