Back before my tenure with the Red Sox, I used to do projections every year that folks seemed to like well enough. Now that I’ve resurfaced I suppose I should address whether I’m going to do them again. For the 2008 season the answer is a definite “no.” Doing them well takes time and I just don’t have everything I need to dive right in. Maybe in 2009 if I get everything together.

Besides lots of other people do a fine job on this score anyway. Dan Szymborski does a great job.

What I will try and do when the time comes is to put out a bunch of information on college hitters in time for the amateur draft. I did a lot of work on this for Boston so I figured I might as well talk about it here.
