To celebrate the new year, I’m going to re-live a famous signing from the past. Remember back in 1998 when the Royals signed Hideo Nomo. I just found a copy of the article on Reuters while doing a search on Nomo. Those must have been heady times for the Royals, acquiring a big named former All-Star and massive legend in his home country.
I haven’t been able to find any follow up though, So I don’t know how it turned out. Any links?
UPDATE: It appears I misread a date stamp. The Royals actually signed Hideo Nomo, today! Sorry, I was caught completely unaware.
