Mets Touched By an Angel

January 5th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I don’t know how you can trade Corey Coles and Ryan Meyers and come out the overwhelming loser of the trade.

The Mets managed to do it though, they traded Coles and Meyers for Angel Pagan. Coles is the same age as Pagan and a better hitter (probably) so I’m unclear as to what the Mets are looking to accomplish here.

And what’s with Chicago baseball teams suddenly making decent trades? They could have saved me a lot of misery as a youth if they had figured this out 30 years ago.

When the Hughes/Hendry thing has finally run its course (hopefully with the ownership change), please put your resume in for a position in the Cubs organization. For too long, have the “fat scouts” ruled the roost on the Northside. God-willing Canning isn’t the new owner or I fear it’s business as usual and when I say business as usual I mean mildly retarted.
